    Angkrish Raghuvanshi Facts

    1. He had endured a torrid start to the 2026 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, where he was dismissed for 2 and 0 runs respectively in India’s first 2 matches, against the UAE and Pakistan. Things did not improve much in the next 2 games either as he could only manage 35 runs against Afghanistan in India’s last group stage match and 16 runs against Bangladesh in the semi-final.
    2. In the final match of the tournament, a rain-marred game against Sri Lanka, chasing a paltry target of 102 runs, he had top-scored with 56 runs not out off 67 balls as India had romped home within 22 overs with 9 wickets to spare.
    3. In the 2nd group stage match of the 2026 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, against Ireland, he had put together an opening stand of 164 runs in 25.4 overs with and was India’s 2nd-highest run-scorer with 79 runs off 79 balls. This had helped India post a formidable score of 307/5 and eventually win by a massive margin of 174 runs.
    4. In India’s last group stage match, against Uganda, he had smoked 144 runs off just 120 balls (including 22 fours and 4 sixes). His partnership of 206 runs with , who had scored 162 runs not out, was the highest 3rd-wicket stand in the history of the tournament. India had scored 405/5 in 50 overs in that match and had defeated Uganda by 326 runs. This was the second-biggest victory margin in the history of Youth ODIs.
    5. In the quarter-final match against Bangladesh, he was India’s top-scorer (44 runs off 65 balls including 7 fours) in a nervy chase of 112 runs. India had lost 5 wickets while chasing that low total down and Angkrish’s knock had proved vital in ensuring that the lower order batters did not have to be involved in this tricky chase.
    6. His form had deserted him in the last 2 matches of the tournament as he was dismissed for 6 runs against Australia in the semi-final and a 2-ball duck in the final against England.
