- She appeared as young Nithya in the 2012 Malayalam action comedy film, Mallu Singh.
- She brought to life the character of Anu, one of the daughters of Rambabu and Jyothi, in the 2014 Telugu-language thriller film, Drushyam. This role won Esther the 2015 Santosham Film Award for “Best Child Actor”.
- Alongside , , Niveda Thomas, Asha Sarath, Kalabhavan Mani, and Jagannathan, Esther Anil co-starred as Meena Suyambulingam in the Tamil-language drama thriller film, Papanasam, in 2015. For this role, she received the 2016 Kerala Film Critics Association Award in the “Best Child Artist” category.
