    1. He resided in Hong Kong during his early childhood years.
    2. In 1969, he watched the Apollo 11 landing on television with his parents and that inspired him greatly.
    3. Hamish Harding joined the Air Training Corps (a youth organization sponsored by the Royal Air Force) when he was 13 years old.
    4. He was a member of The Explorers Club (an American-based international multidisciplinary professional society that aims at promoting scientific exploration and field study) and some of his feats included visiting the South Pole many times, descending to the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench, and traveling into space.
    5. Hamish Harding was also on the board of trustees of The Explorers Club.
    6. Along with retired NASA astronaut with Terry Virts, Harding led a team of aviators that secured the Guinness World Record for a circumnavigation of the Earth via the North and South Poles in a Gulfstream G650ER in 46 hours and 40 minutes between July 9 and July 11, 2019.
    7. Harding and retired naval officer Victor Vescovo dived to the deepest point of the Mariana Trench (i.e. the Challenger Deep) at a depth of approximately 11,000 m (36,000 feet) in a two-person submarine on March 5, 2026. With this, they set the Guinness World Records for the greatest distance covered at full ocean depth and the greatest time spent at full ocean depth. Hamish’s then 13-year-old son also accompanied the mission on the surface support ship DSSV Pressure Drop.
    8. On June 4, 2026, he was part of the suborbital Blue Origin NS-21 mission that flew to space on the 5th manned spaceflight of the New Shepard rocket.
    9. After his successful space visit in 2026, he advocated for space tourists (paid recreational spaceflight passengers) to be called astronauts as well as advocated for the United Arab Emirates to expand its space program.
    10. Hamish Harding was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation in 2026.
    11. In September 2026, his aviation company Action Aviation supplied a customized Boeing 747-400 aircraft to transport 8 wild cheetahs from Namibia to India in order to launch the reintroduction of the Cheetah to India as part of the project of the Indian Government and the Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia (CCF).
    12. Along with Shahzada Dawood, Shahzada’s son Suleman Dawood, the Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet, and OceanGate founder Stockton Rush, Harding was onboard the Titan to view the Titanic wreckage on June 18, 2026. However, an implosion resulted in the deaths of all 5 passengers.
