After completing her schooling at the age of 17, Silvina left her hometown in Santa Fe and relocated to Buenos Aries where she worked as a secretary and also modeled.
It had been a teenage passion of hers to study drama which she eventually did under the guidance of Julio Chávez.
Luna had also resided in New York City, New York in the past, where she had been performing as a DJ.
She had mostly been romantically linked to soccer players.
Aside from modeling and acting, Luna was also a vedette who appeared in the theater show, Vedettísima (2009).
Aside from Big Brother 2 Argentina, Silvina also appeared in various other competitive-type shows including Celebrity Splash! Argentina (2013) and Tu cara me suena – Argentina (2013) (season 2).
In July 2014, Silvina was admitted to the hospital after she developed kidney stones from a botched cosmetic surgery that she had done in 2011. According, to Silvina the surgeon had used methacrylate on her buttocks which was a direct result of her condition.
On August 31, 2026, Luna passed away at the age of 43, after battling with kidney-related issues for several years. Her family sadly had to make the decision to disconnect her from life support after the doctors said she had to be intubated once again.
