Before finally settling in the Bronx, New York, his family had shifted to Canada and Florida, United States.
He suffered a head injury due to which he cannot remember any parts of his life before the age of 7.
He moved to Atlanta when he was in 8th grade and started playing basketball.
In November 2011, he started rapping.
On December 20, 2012, he released his single titled All Gold Everything and it was certified ‘Platinum’ by the RIAA.
He released his debut mixtape, Don’t Be S.A.F.E., on September 18, 2012, and it was ranked at number #1 on the US Heatseekers Albums (Billboard) chart, at number #23 on the US Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart, and at number #103 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

The last thing I’d want to see is for them to fall off just like I have.”
